Amanda's mom Nancy made this really great "Spaceship in the Jungle" quilt, inspired by a poster in Isaac's bedroom. She also made a bed skirt and rocking chair cushions, which are super-nice.

Mike's mom Ethel made a quilt from pieces of his dad Andy's old jeans, backed by heavy-duty "Trip to Mars" fabric in something like a flannel. It is by far the most rugged of the quilts.

Mike's Aunt Marlene made a very soft, compact quilt with a dinosaur theme. It is extremely functional because of its size, and we probably use it most often.

A newcomer to the Millers, Mike's dad Andy's biological mother, Mary Richendollar, made this quilt featuring mother and baby horses with a rainbow trim.

Amanda's dad Dave's girlfriend Rhonda "Ronnie" Griffith commissioned a ridiculously cute quilt with this little cowboy theme.

We didn't know babies got quilts, but apparently they do.
Every single one amazing for their own reasons. I never knew babies got so many quilts, either! You have a VERY loving family!!!! All those hours of work and love for wee little Isaac!
ReplyDeleteAnd Isaac will treasure all of them made by special people in his life. I have 2 of Michael's baby quilts - you did appreciate using them for your son, didn't you?
ReplyDeleteThose are some rocking good quilts.
ReplyDeleteThose are great! We, too, learned that people LOVE to make baby blankets for new babies. Piper is stocked for life! Isaac is growing so fast and is sooo adorable!
